Another transfer window is set to close, and Saido Berahino is still a player for West Bromwich Albion.

After failing to secure a move away from The Hawthorns last summer, Berahino has been parked on the bench this season and seemed destined for a January move.

However, West Brom continues to reject offers for the striker and it looks like he will remain at the club until the end of the season.

Tottenham had multiple bids rejected last summer, and Newcastle offered $30 million for Berahino this month and were denied.

With clubs still pushing for a late Deadline Day deal for Berahino, West Brom said they expect him to be ready to play for the Baggies against Swansea on Tuesday.

Berahino’s ongoing transfer saga has been an extremely puzzling situation. After West Brom did not sell him in the summer, the 22-year-old striker said he would never play under owner Jeremy Peace again.

Manager Tony Pulis has been outspoken about his unhappiness with Berahino’s attitude, relegating the club’s top scorer from last season to a limited role off the bench.

If Berahino stays at West Brom, he needs to put his head down and get back to playing football. A move away would likely be the best situation for both parties involved, but with the club unwilling to budge, Berahino must change his attitude and start scoring goals.
