The petulance of Costa was on display again in Chelsea’s 0-0 draw with Watford at Vicarage Road, and the Hornets’ captain could only laugh at the Spanish-Brazilian forward.
From a post game interview on BT Sport in England:
“It’s new age football, a little touch and everyone goes down. The ref spoke to him, and then spoke to him again and I just asked the ref was he going to book him. If he played in Sunday league he’d probably get laughed at.”
He’s probably right. Costa is a villain of the highest on-field order, and you have to wonder if anyone has any respect for him as peer. He’s certainly a great striker.
