Gary Neville surely didn’t think it would come to this.
The first leg of the Copa Del Rey semifinal between Barcelona and Neville-managed Valencia left little need to play the second, as the Camp Nou was treated to a 7-0 onslaught on Wednesday.
Luis Suarez scored four goals, one more than Lionel Messi, and Neymar actually missed a penalty that could’ve left the total at 8.
The second leg is next Wednesday and, barring the most unlikely of results, Barcelona will get the winner of Sevilla and Celta Vigo, who start their tie on Thursday.
