Manchester United has been on top for much of their trip to Stamford Bridge, but had been unable to put the ball in the back of the net. Until Jesse Lingard showed up.
A flat, powerful cross from Cameron Borthwick-Jackson came to Wayne Rooney, and his pretty first touch fell to Lingard in the box. With his back to goal, the 23-year-old turned and shot on the slide, burying the ball into the corner for Manchester United’s opening goal.
