David Beckham is looking for people to help save his Miami MLS project, and the England legend may be getting help from his former employers.
Beckham, 40, finished his playing career at Paris Saint-Germain in 2013, and the club’s owners are interested in helping move “Miami Beckham United” forward.
The BBC reports that Qatar Sports Investment are one of many groups vying to help the Miami side come to fruition.
Two things on this:
- When David Beckham publicly asks for help in making a project go next level, people raise their hands in a hurry. It’s no surprise PSG’s leadership is interested.
- This Miami project, with plenty of blame for the city’s leadership, has been a prime example of how not to roll out an MLS side.
