Terry suffered the injury against Newcastle last weekend, and did not travel with the team to Paris for their midweek Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain, which Chelsea lost 2-1.

The Blues host Manchester City on Sunday in the fifth round of the FA Cup, as Guus Hiddink tries to save the season by winning a piece of silverware.

In his post-training press conference on Friday, Hiddink spoke to the media and said Terry would not be ready to go this weekend. However, he was optimistic that the captain and center-back would be fit to play in Chelsea’s next Premier League match on February 27 at Southampton.

Without Terry at PSG, Branislav Ivanovic slid into the center of defense alongside Gary Cahill, with Baba Rahman and Cesar Azpilicueta playing on the outsides.
