Arguably the two most anticipated ties of this season’s UEFA Champions League round of 16 kick off Tuesday night in Europe, close to 600 miles apart in London and Turin.

Arsenal have gone out of the Champions League in the round of 16 five straight seasons and have already been bounced from the competition by Barcelona three times this century. As for the Blaugrana, Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Neymar (91 goals collectively through 46 games this season) and Co. are unbeaten in 32 games ahead of Tuesday’s showdown. Even the Gunners themselves have dubbed the reigning European champions “unstoppable.” Fortunately for Barca, Suarez’s passport situation was resolved in time for him to catch the team flight.
Meanwhile, Juventus, last year’s CL runners-up, will have their hands full with a Bayern Munich side determined to send Pep Guardiola off to Manchester a European champion once more. The four-time defending Serie A champions won’t be lying down, though, as they’re ready to play with enough “measured aggression” to topple their three-time defending counterparts from the Bundesliga. Bayern will be playing without “any central defenders.”
