PSV Eindhoven survived a red card and will head to the Vicente Calderon with every chance of besting Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League’s Round of 16.
Jeroen Zoet made a number of key saves and Atleti could not take advantage of Gaston Pereiro’s second-half red card in a 0-0 first leg at the Philips Stadion on Tuesday.

The second leg is March 15 in Spain.
Atleti had the two best chances of the first half, with Jeffrey Bruma clearing a would-be goal off the line and Zoet making a big save on Antoine Griezmann.

Uruguayan attacker Pereiro took his second yellow card in the 58th minute after a collision with Diego Godin, as PSV was down to 10 men.
Atleti buzzed, but couldn’t sting, as Zoet continued his fine play and PSV even pushed for a winner.
