Leicester City made it through their early 2016 gauntlet still on top. Now with the weekend win over Norwich, they look to continue the softer part of their schedule against West Brom, live on NBCSN at 2:45 p.m. ET or live online at NBC Sports Live Extra.
But just because this part of the schedule is soft doesn’t mean they can ease off the pedal. The win over Norwich was nervy with a late winner the difference, and with Tottenham just two points back, any mistakes can be costly.
The Foxes are without N'Golo Kante for today and the next two weeks, a big blow as the midfielder has exceeded all expectations this season, and is a big reason why Leicester has looked so impressive. Kante tweaked his hamstring and will rest for the next few matches, Claudio Raneiri confirmed. Andy King takes his place, just his seventh start of the season and his third since the start of September. Danny Simpson also returns to the lineup after suspension.
For West Brom, Chris Brunt and James Morrison miss out, as does Jonny Evans who picked up a hamstring problem and was questionable to play. The Baggies are not a part of the relegation battle sitting eleven points off the drop, and could jump into the top half of the table with a win should other things shake out.
