Forget the blowouts, the United States women’s national team is going to get some experience in winning tight matches this month.
The first edition of the SheBelieves Cup is taking place this month in Florida and Tennessee, pitting four of the world’s Top Five rated teams against each other round robin format.
The first matches were Thursday, with Crystal Dunn scoring the lone goal as the United States took care of England, and Leonie Maier doing the same for Germany against France.
The USWNT gets France on Sunday, while Germany plays England. The tournament finishes Wednesday with the Yanks facing Germany and England tangling with France.
