Juventus defeated Sassuolo 1-0 on Friday, continuing their Italian dominance and extending their lead at the top of the table to six points.
The win was also Juve’s tenth consecutive clean sheet in the league, a new Serie A record. The last time they allowed a goal in Serie A play was January 10, a 2-1 victory over Sampdoria.

While Juve’s clean-sheet streak started two months ago, their brilliant run of form started before Halloween. Max Allegri’s side have not lost a league match since October, currently on a run of 18 wins from 19 matches, settling for one draw.
Not only are Juventus setting team records, but legendary goalkeeper Gigi Buffon is close to setting an individual record as well. Buffon has not been scored on in 926 minutes, just three minutes shy of a 22-year-old Serie A record held by former AC Milan keeper Sebastiano Rossi.
