Thanks to Monaco’s draw with Reims on Friday, PSG hold a 22-point lead at the top of the table. That lead will grow to 25 points with a win at Troyes, leaving Monaco unable to catch up with only eight games remaining.
Should PSG win this weekend and clinch the league, it will be the second-earliest title in the history of Europe’s big five leagues. Bayern Munich clinched the Bundesliga title in 2014 after just 27 matches.
With just 12 losses from their last 147 Ligue 1 matches, PSG has dominated France for some time now. However, this season was something special. They started the campaign 27 games unbeaten, losing their first match of the season in late February. Their goal differential is currently +53, while the next best mark is Lyon’s +14.
