Manchester City was rarely troubled in the opening half, carrying play but a little wasteful in the final ball or two.

The Canaries finally found their chance in the 39th minute, as Nicolas Otamendi made a poor decision leading to Patrick Bamford‘s swirling volley from distance hitting the crossbar.

Sergio Aguero won a free kick a yard outside the 18 in the 64th minute, but David Silva hit his left-footed offering into the Norwich wall.

Norwich didn’t register a shot on target, but did manage its first clean sheet since January.
