Manuel Pellegrini walked out of his post-match interview, the normally even-keeled boss in a bad place after Manchester City fell 1-0 to Manchester United on Sunday at the Etihad Stadium.
Quizzed on his team’s attitude, form, and defending, Pellegrini tired of the questions and simply took off after saying, “I’m talking about the game here and nothing more.”
“We were the team what wanted to win the whole game, that played for 95 minutes, but we missed our chances and made a mistake for their goal. We tried but we couldn’t.
“It was too easy the way he goes inside our box. In the first half before they scored we had control of the game, we had three or four clear chances to score, we couldn’t do it, maybe in the minutes after the goal we didn’t do so well but the second half was a good performance, good attitude, but we couldn’t score.”
Pellegrini said it’s too soon to tell how long Joe Hart will miss with the calf injury that forced him off in the second half, but that both he and Raheem Sterling won’t be with Three Lions on England duty.
Pellegrini press conference is just starting. Joe Hart and Raheem Sterling out of England game, he says. Maybe 3-4 weeks

City is among the older teams in the Premier League, and looks like its running out of juice (or at least the juice required to compete in several tournaments at once). Have they turned their eyes to the Champions League alone?
