ICC 2016: Manchester Derby to be played in China

After a star-studded field was announced for this summer’s North America International Champions Cup tour, three more powers will be playing in China.

The Manchester Derby will headline the three-team field, which features Manchester City, Manchester United and Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.

The two clubs, who have been meeting since 1881, will be meeting for the first time outside of the United Kingdom in July. The match will kick off from Beijing’s Bird’s Nest Stadium on July 25.

ICC China 2016 will take place between July 22 and July 28, with each side playing two matches at sites to be determined.

The North America event features fellow English sides Chelsea, Leicester City and Liverpool, in addition to Spanish powers Real Madrid and Barcelona, while the Australian leg sees Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur take on A-League side Melbourne Victory.
