According to the Sunday Express, the 43-year old manager is a lead candidate to take over with Swansea City, who currently has Francesco Guidolin in-charge of the side. The report states that there is already a deal in place to appoint the Northern Irishman.
Guidolin has held an interim status this season with Swansea, after taking over for Garry Monk, who was sacked in December.
In his previous tenure with the Swans, Rodgers helped guide the Welsh club to promotion from the English Championship.
Despite some rumblings that Rodgers could take over as the next England manager, a return to the Liberty Stadium appears to be a much more likely landing spot.
