Manchester City beat Bournemouth 4-0 at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday as three early goals saw them ease to victory.
Fernando, Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero all scored inside the opening 20 minutes to put the game beyond doubt against an outclassed Bournemouth side, then Aleksandar Kolarov netted another in stoppage time to rub salt into the Cherries’ wounds.
With the win City stay in fourth on 54 points, while Bournemouth remain on 38 points.

City went ahead inside the first 10 minutes as a corner from the right somehow found its way through to Fernando and he hooked the ball home past Artur Boruc. 1-0 to City.

Inside 19 minutes it was 3-0 to City as Jesus Navas stood up a cross to the back post and Aguero nodded home. Bournemouth’s fans and defenders were stunned.
Fernandinho hit the crossbar from distance as the Cherries struggled to cope with City’s rampant attack. They did have a great chance to score but Willy Caballero flicked away a curling effort which just evaded Daniels.

City continued to pour forward in the second half and De Bruyne forced Boruc into a fine stop down low. However, Bournemouth did press more in the second half and Eunan O'Kane went through but his shot deflected wide. That was about as good as it got for the Cherries as Eddie Howe looked frustrated and disappointed on the sidelines.

Aguero almost made it 4-0 but he couldn’t get on the end of Pablo Zabaleta‘s cross at the near post but Kolarov did net a fourth late on to send the away fans wild.
City’s job was done and dusted in the opening 20 minutes as they warmed up for their UEFA Champions League test against Paris Saint-Germain perfectly.
