Joe Hart is buzzing after stopping a Zlatan Ibrahimovic penalty and taking a pair of road goals back to Manchester City.

The City goalkeeper, 28, passed a fitness test to start in Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League first leg at the Parc des Princes, and MCFC managed to draw 2-2 to kickoff their quarterfinal tie.

Though Adrien Rabiot netted a tap-in goal and Zlatan scored off a Fernando miscue, Hart was generally very good as PSG darted about the City half.

From the BBC:

“It was a crazy game that we were fully involved in…

“Zlatan is not bad is he? I haven’t seen it again but the penalty felt very soft. It was a terrible first goal to concede, I gave Fernando the ball and he thought there was an option to pass it, the big man put his size 15s through it and the ball went in.

“We are making history for this club and we don’t want it to end. I am proud of the back four tonight.”

Fernando’s error was huge, but Ibrahimovic could’ve been called for interference on the Rabiot goal. Overall, Wednesday was a promising night for City, which just needs a win or a lower than 2-2 draw to advance to its first semifinal.
