The Europa League quarterfinal first legs take place on Thursday and we have a big one at the Westfalenstadion.

Borussia Dortmund host Liverpool as the German and English giants collide with Jurgen Klopp back on familiar soil in his first season as Liverpool boss. It usually works like this, right?

Klopp has been lauded by the locals, past Dortmund players and BVB’s current manager Thomas Tuchel but that’s where the niceties will end. Whoever wins this game will be the big favorites to win it all and clinch a UEFA Champions League spot in the process.

Dortmund won’t need it as they’re embroiled in a challenge for the Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich, but Liverpool has little to no chance of finishing in the PL’s top four so this represents their only chance of making the UCL next season.

Elsewhere an all-La Liga clash between Athletic Bilbao and two-time defending champions Sevilla promises plenty, while both Villarreal and Shakhtar Donetsk is heavily favored to progress in their quarterfinal matches.
