One name that has recently been linked to the Blues is that of Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan.

Despite Roma’s owner James Pallotta claiming Roma would not be selling this summer, sporting director Walter Sabatini was pictured at Chelsea’s facilities in London on Friday, with reports stating a potential Nainggolan move was the main reason for his visit. It is believed that Roma are holding out for a transfer fee of close $40 million, while Chelsea are looking for a price of closer to $30 million.
The 27-year-old Belgian international has excelled since joining Roma in 2014, named to the Serie A Team of the Year last season. He has earned a regular spot on the Belgian national team, and will be a key player for the Red Devils at this summer’s EURO.
Although he is under contract at Roma until 2020, Nainggolan’s name will be one of the top targets around Europe this summer. He is very strong defensively in the center of the pitch and would fit into Conte’s system better than the likes of Cesc Fabregas, while also possessing better skills on the attack than Nemanja Matic or John Obi Mikel.
