Sessegnon indeed silenced the Etihad with his fifth minute bullet, a hard-to-believe bit of power behind his near post shot. Hart had no chance, and it was 1-0 Baggies.
The attacker gave it back when Aleksandar Kolarov made the most of an awkward challenge in the box. Aguero buried his penalty chance, and it was 1-1 in the 19th minute.
