The U.S. Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, has become a hero figure for soccer fans across the globe.

Last May the U.S. Department of Justice, along with the Swiss authorities, launched a wide-ranging investigation into corruption at FIFA, world soccer’s govenring body.
That led to the indictment of 14 FIFA officials among many other individuals connected to the organization.
Since Lynch and the U.S. authorities intervened long-time leader Sepp Blatter has stepped down and been replaced by Gianni Infantino as president, while sweeping reforms have taken place among the way FIFA is structure and many high-ranking officials have been replaced.
