Van Gaal hails Rashford, De Gea; “I’m happy I shall go to Wembley”

Manchester United’s whirlwind season took another turn in fortune Wednesday when the Red Devils advanced to the FA Cup semifinals with a 2-1 win over West Ham United.

Marcus Rashford and Marouane Fellaini scored in the win, with the former’s goal especially wonderful.

Van Gaal loved it, and proffered a classic Van Gaal quip regarding Rashford’s wonder strike to ManUtd.com:

“It was a fantastic goal. I was behind him when he dribbled and saw the opening in the corner and thought ‘shoot!’. He did it and it’s more difficult to do it than to shout it!”

United becomes the instant favorite to win the FA Cup given the trio of bottom-half teams left in the competition.
