The group stage pairings for the men’s and women’s tournament at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio have been announced.
On Thursday the draw was made with the U.S. women’s national team placed in Group G along with New Zealand, France and Colombia.

Jill Ellis’ team are the reigning Olympic champions and have won four Olympic golds in history, the most successful women’s team. They are also going for their fourth-straight gold medal this summer.
In the men’s draw reigning Olympic champs Mexico has been drawn in the same group as Germany, while Argentina, Portugal and Algeria are all in Group D.

The groups in full are below, with 16 teams competing in the men’s tournament and 12 teams in the women’s.
