Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse was hit with points on his license and fined nearly $800 in a local court on Friday, but not before the judge wished him good luck in the relegation battle.

Cisse was fined for driving on an illegal license from his native Senegal, but it was no longer valid in the UK.

After serving Cisse with his summons, Chairman of the bench Carolyn Hyslop wished the striker good luck in Saturday’s match against Swansea City.

Newcastle will need all the help they can get heading into the Swansea match as the the Magpies sit six points below safety with just six games to play.

Cisse was Newcastle’s top scorer last season with 11 goals, but the Senegalese international has seen a limited role this campaign with the arrivals of Aleksandar Mitrovic and Georginio Wijnaldum. Cisse has scored just two goals this season, although those tallies came in August and November.
