The game in 100 words (or less): The Houston Dynamo got off to a hot start with a goal in the first minute, but for the remaining 89 minutes it was all Los Angeles as the Galaxy left BBVA Compass Stadium with a 4-1 win. Giovani dos Santos scored twice as Bruce Arena’s men tore apart Houston at their own park, cruising to an easy road win. The Dynamo defense looked out of sorts throughout the match as Owen Coyle’s back-line has now conceded 13 goals in six matches, tied for the worst mark in Major League Soccer.

Three moments that mattered
1′ — Horst scores immediately for Houston — The Dynamo got off to a dream start when David Horst scored in the opening minute. A short corner kick led to a back post cross where Horst was left unmarked, powering a header into the back of the net.
4′ — Dos Santos gets quick response for LA — Houston’s lead barely lasted as Giovani dos Santos drew the Galaxy level in the fourth minute. Ashley Cole‘s long ball over the top caused a bit of confusion for the Dynamo center-backs, as the ball popped out to a wide open dos Santos who walked in and slotted one home.
31′ — Gerrard connects with Dos Santos to make it 3-1 — Baggio Husidic had already put LA up 2-1, and dos Santos grabbed his second of the half to make it 3-1 to the visitors. Steven Gerrard played a pin-perfect cross to the Mexican international, who took one touch across his defender before rifling a shot off the bounce and into the bottom corner.
