If the Foxes claim the PL’s top prize, and it looks more and more like they will, a pair of MPs claim Ranieri deserves to be knighted.

From The Daily Mail:

Labour MP Jonathan Ashworth, whose constituency is Leicester South, told the Sun: ‘What Claudio Ranieri has done, not only for Leicester City but for English football, is nothing short of phenomenal.

‘It has been a beautiful fairytale story and fans would surely agree he deserves the recognition an honorary knighthood would bring.’

‘I shall be doing all I can to persuade the Palace to reward him.’

The politicians go on to say that Ranieri and his team have brought together not only a city, but people of all races. Lofty stuff there, but sports do have that unifying power.

Sir Claudio. Why not?
