Tony Pulis‘ players didn’t have enough in the tank to take down Arsenal at the Emirates, and the manager is okay with that.

The 58-year-old Welshman has his team sitting in 15th place with 40 points, 10 clear of the drop zone but well off contending for European places.

Since winning against Manchester United to get to that oft-discussed 40-point mark, Pulis has presided over losses to Norwich, Man City, Watford and Arsenal. A draw to Sunderland is the only point gained by West Brom since that win over the Red Devils.

Mailing it in? You be the judge.

From West Brom’s official site:

“I can have no complaints about the result. Arsenal were the better side throughout the game.
“And I’m not going to criticise the players either – they’ve done very well for me this season. We’ve played well at times this season but today we looked leggy, off the pace. And when we come to the better teams everyone has to be on it and we simply weren’t.”
Is Pulis’ honesty refreshing, or bothersome? West Brom’s supporters seem to want more style and substance from their side, but the Baggies are safe. Is that enough?
