The match itself was engrossing, the type that leaves the loser feeling empty and the winner quite the opposite.

And so Manchester United players are flying high after their stoppage time 2-1 win over Everton at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

Louis Van Gaal‘s Red Devils clinched a berth in the FA Cup Final, where they’ll meet Crystal Palace or Watford come May 21.

The club is amped for the final, which comes after we learn whether they’ve reach their goal of the Premier League’s Top Four. They can hardly wait.

From the BBC:

Michael Carrick“It would mean everything to win it. We have been desperate to get our hands on this trophy for too long. We are not there yet but we have given ourselves a chance.”

Marouane Fellaini“It was a tough game. Everton asked a lot of questions. But we are in a final which is most important. I’m so happy for me and the club.”

David De Gea stopped a penalty, Fellaini robbed Romelu Lukaku on the doorstep and United survived a wild half-hour charge from Everton after the break.

If the other semi or May’s final comes within shades of this one, we’ll all be incredibly happy.
