Hillsborough disaster inquests decision coming Tuesday

“Are you satisfied so that you are sure that those who died in the disaster were unlawfully killed?”

That’s question No. 6 from a 14-question task handed to a jury when it comes to the 96 Liverpool fans who died and 766 more who were injured in a stadium crush at Hillsborough in 1989.

The jury has indicated that it couldn’t reach a unanimous call on the above question but has agreed on the other 13. The judge said he’d accept 8-1 or 7-2 decisions, and the jury’s answers will be revealed on Tuesday morning.

The jury has been told to answer a general questionnaire of 14 questions as well as record the time and cause of death for each of the Liverpool fans who died in the disaster on April 15, 1989.

The hearings have been ongoing for more than two years, with the jury having heard months of evidence from more than 800 witnesses.

The jury has been working on this case for more than two years.
