Reigning PFA Premier League Player of the Year and Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez isn’t interested in heading back to France.

That’s one of the takeaways from an interview with French magazine Onze Mundial, although the playmaker does stop short from committing his future to Leicester.

Mahrez says, “France does not really excite me. I love England” when asked about PSG’s interest in bringing the former Le Havre player back to his home country (The Sarcelles born Frenchman represents Algeria at the international level).

Now as for his Leicester teammates? That’s where Mahrez really opens up with quotes that show he hangs out with his coach a bit. From Sky Sports:

“We are fighters. And when I say to you ‘fighters’, I have never seen anything like this in my life. The guys are hungry like crazy and they let nothing go,” Mahrez told French magazine Onze Mondial.

“You blast a shot straight into a guy’s face and he doesn’t even flinch.”

I like to think Mahrez learned this by continually blasting shots at teammates’ faces at training, and that Wes Morgan and Robert Huth continually said, “No big deal, m8”, every time.

Do you buy Mahrez not leaving for PSG, and staying in England? Could he be staying at King Power Stadium, too?
