Big Sam Allardyce is praised for having never been relegated as a manager, and the Sunderland boss can assure that status for another season by beating Everton on Wednesday.

The NBCSN affair sees Sunderland as hosts with a one-point lead on Newcastle and four-point lead on Norwich City in the race for the final safe sport in the Premier League.

With Norwich playing Watford and Newcastle only having one card left to play, Sunderland can move to safety with a win. And he wants the supporters to give his charges every advantage at the Stadium of Light when the match kicks off at 2:45 p.m. ET.

From SAFC.com:

“The fans arriving early is more for our players than the opposition,” said Allardyce. “The cauldron of noise is about producing a reaction from your own players who are buoyed on by the outstanding support provided, and for a player that allows you to express yourself in a better manner.

“Both elements – the atmosphere and performance – came together to pull off a big, big result against Chelsea, but fans can’t come into Wednesday’s game with the expectation that it’s all done and dusted.”

Sunderland has played resilient for much of the past few months, unlucky to get only a point on several occasions. The Black Cats really should clinch safety at the Stadium of Light on Wednesday.
