Sunderland manager big Sam Allardyce is still a man who’s never been relegated from the Premier League.
His Black Cats throttled woeful Everton 3-0 on Wednesday, giving the Stadium of Light crowd a thrill while clinching PL safety.

The manager wants to stick around on Wearside for next season’s PL campaign, too, but hailed his club for its performance in these last few, big weeks.
“If you back to November, Everton 6-2 Sunderland, it shows how far we have come.
“There were a long few months winter months, we got players in January and turned into a team from January onwards. We became a team that was difficult to beat, who did not like losing and continued the run constantly for the last few months.
“The Norwich result was the big one we needed, we got close, there was a slip up and then I think the performance against Chelsea, the comeback, gave us momentum to win this game against Everton.”
The Black Cats have been good to very good over the past month, and Allardyce deserves to be hailed for the club’s run to safety.
