Jefferson Montero appeared to have equalized for Swansea when he stooped to head a goal home, but Mike Dean ruled the goal invalid for a phantom push.
Fernandinho slid a ball through for Aguero in the 27th minute, but Swans keeper Kristoffer Nordfeldt made a stamp save to stop the shot.
Andre Ayew made the equalizer happen with a deflected free kick off the edge of the Man City wall. It could go down as an own goal. 1-1.
