A dancing Alan Pardew seemed to express Crystal Palace’s emotions on 78 minutes, having taken the lead at Wembley Stadium and headed for the club’s first major trophy.

Unfortunately, there were still 12 minutes to be played, and those 12 minutes saw 30 more minutes. At the final whistle, the dance was about all Palace had left to hold onto.

Substitute Jesse Lingard, on in the 90th minute for Juan Mata, roofed a volley in the second-half of extra time to give Manchester United a 2-1 win in the FA Cup final.
