Louis Van Gaal‘s time at Manchester United is about to come to an end.

If, as expected, United do fire the Dutchman on Monday then we will wave goodbye to Louis. However, we will never forget him or his time at Old Trafford.

After arriving at United in 2014, the last two years have been, erm, eventful.

On the pitch United’s fans would deem Van Gaal’s tenure as a big disappointment. They’ve finished fourth and fifth in the Premier League, been knocked out of the UEFA Champions League at the group stage but LVG does have an FA Cup trophy to show for his time in charge.

What is perhaps more memorable is the veteran Dutchman entertaining everyone in his pre and post game press conferences.

The guy is bizarre, forthright and downright stubborn.

All of that led to some memorable moments on the sidelines and with the media and now the end is near, let’s reflect on some of the most bizarre moments from Van Gaal’s time at United.

Man, LVG will be missed…

He didn’t often get animated on the sidelines and loved to scribble notes on his clipboard instead. Then, this happened…

He forgot Chris Smalling‘s first name during a presser. Not once, but twice. “Hello, Mike…”

Another highlight/lowlight was responding to comments from Sam Allardyce about United being a long ball team…

Van Gaal’s backside chat…

Multiple times Van Gaal sung the song the fans gave him…

He also urged his players to be “horny” when it came to winning games…

And seemed to accuse Robert Huth of an act of sexual maschoism after pulling Marouane Fellaini‘s hair in a game…
