Robert Lewandowski has played in Germany for the past six seasons, but the Polish international could be seeking a move elsewhere this summer.
Now, Lewandowski’s agent Cezary Kucharski has come out and confirmed that the 27-year-old striker has held talks with one of Spain’s most decorated clubs.
“Real Madrid approached us a few weeks ago,” Kucharski said. “We have listened to everything and informed Bayern that we have held talks with Madrid.”
Lewandowski has been with reigning Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich for the past two seasons, following his time at Borussia Dortmund, where he spent another four years.
The well-recognized Polish striker has notched 170 goals in all competitions in Germany, while capturing four Bundesliga titles in the process.
Based on Lewandowski’s comments on the subject, it sounds very much like he is seeking a new challenge in the near future.
“I’ve been in Germany for six years, have won everything here. Sometimes you have to consider whether it makes sense to try something new.”
