It wasn’t a win, but the Houston Dynamo still haven’t lost since Owen Coyle’s departure.
In Thursday’s Texas Derby against FC Dallas, the Dynamo were down 1-0 in the second half. The team needed a goal, and that’s when veteran midfielder Ricardo Clark stepped up for the struggling Western Conference side.
Andrew Wenger attempted a penetrating pass into the path of Dynamo striker Will Bruin, but the play was broken up by Walker Zimmerman. The Dallas defender couldn’t react quickly enough to his touch and that’s when Clark struck a perfect one-time effort past goalkeeper Chris Seitz.
The Dynamo have now tied two consecutive matches since former head coach Coyle left the club. Despite the results, the team remains at the bottom of the West table, sitting on 13 points in 14 matches this season.
