Gareth Bale and Wales won’t face mighty England until both clubs’ second match of Euro 2016, but that hasn’t stopped the media from asking about the geographic rivalry.

Bale is coming off another UEFA Champions League win with Real Madrid, and very confident of Wales’ chances to get out of Group B.

But forget that for a second, and that Wales has to deal with Slovakia first. Bale thinks England gets a little too much credit given their lack of accomplishments, and thinks his side will take advantage of lack of expectations.

From the BBC:

“I think we’ve got a lot more passion and pride about us than them. We’ll definitely show that on the day,” said the Real Madrid forward.

…”They big themselves up before they’ve done anything, so we’re going to go there and we believe we can beat them,” said Bale.

Bale credited his passion and confidence as something that’s inherently Welsh. He really let loose with his thoughts on England and Wales, and they are well worth reading.
