Ramon Diaz’s last match in charge of Paraguay was Saturday’s 1-0 loss to the United States.
Just hours after falling to the U.S. and bowing out of Copa America 2016, Diaz resigned from his position as Paraguay manager.

Diaz was appointed Paraguay boss in 2014 and led the side to the Copa semifinals last summer, eliminating Brazil in the process.
However, La Albirroja finished dead last in their Copa group this year, finishing the tournament with one draw and two losses, scoring just one goal in their three matches.
Paraguay had a prime opportunity to win a match on Saturday night in Philadelphia, playing against a USMNT side that was down to ten men for nearly the entire second half. Despite the advantage, Paraguay failed to score and was eliminated from the tournament.
