Football super-agent Mino Raiola has confirmed that his client, Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, would like to join Manchester United this summer.
The 27-year-old Armenian international has played at Dortmund for the past three seasons, where he has become one of the best midfielders in the Bundesliga.

He led the league with 15 assists last year, named to the Bundesliga Team of the Season while also being voted the Players’ Player of the Season by German magazine kicker.
Mkhitaryan is under contract at Dortmund until 2017, but club CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke acknowledged that the player would not renew his deal, meaning a summer sale in 2016 is very likely.
While Dortmund is waiting to hear other offers, Mkhitaryan’s agent Raiola is keen to push a move to Manchester.
He wants to go to Manchester United and we are still trying to resolve the situation.
We are still talking to Dortmund. We are trying to be reasonable. They are aware that Micki wants to leave now.
It was reported that United had a $27 million bid for Mkhitaryan rejected earlier this week, with Dortmund likely valuing their playmaker at a figure closer to $40 million.
Mkhitaryan scored 23 goals in all competitions last season, and has been linked with top clubs throughout Europe. With these latest developments, it seems as if it’s just a waiting game until Dortmund accept an increased offer from United, which surely won’t be a problem for Ed Woodward & Co.
