There is only one certainty in Group B of EURO 2016: England won’t finish last.

The Three Lions have four points thanks a draw with Russia and win over Wales, and head into Monday’s group finale against Slovakia assured of third place or better.

Essential Reading: Jurgen Klinsmann and Michael Bradley know Argentina is good, but say a win wouldn’t be a miracle or anything.

ICYMI: Saints have reportedly agreed a fee with Spurs for Victor Wanyama. … Napoli, Marek Hamsik might be tempted to part ways.

A draw puts England into the knockout rounds, while a win gives them the group (They can also win the group with a draw and a Wales loss). Slovakia would definitely advance and could win the group with the win, while a draw will keep them out of third place. This is a potentially huge match for Roy Hodgson’s tenure as England boss, as it would be a massive disappointment to finish anywhere but the pinnacle of Group B.

The Russians needs a win and help to advance, given their single point earned so far, but will be happy to have a fighting chance entering the match. Wales will have to prove it wasn’t flattened by blowing a lead to rival England, but knowing a draw and an England win or draw would put them in the knockout rounds.
