Vincenzo Montella has been named the newest manager of AC Milan as the Italian giants look to stop their downward slide.
With seven European titles and 18 Serie A trophies, Milan is one of the most successful clubs in the world. However, they have not won a trophy since 2011 and Montella will be the club’s sixth manager since 2014.

Montella coached at Fiorentina for three seasons from 2012-15, finishing fourth place in Serie A in each campaign. After being sacked last June, Montella was appointed boss at Sampdoria in November to close out the season.
After finishing seventh in Serie A last season, AC Milan will be without European competition for a third straight year, something that is unacceptable to a club with such great history.
With a group of Chinese investors nearing a takeover, Milan is hoping a new ownership group along with a new manager will help bring some glory back to the San Siro.
