With respect to their recent international stumbles, it will be pretty surprising if Brazil isn’t able to land its first ever gold medal.

For one thing, the Olympics are on home soil this summer. For another, holy cow this roster.

The overage players include Barcelona’s Neymar and Bayern Munich’s Douglas Costa, while the third is veteran goalkeeper Fernando Prass.

As for the others, how about Marquinhos of PSG, Felipe Anderson of Lazio and Gabigol, a reported target of Arsenal. Also: Rafinha (Barcelona) and Fred (Shakhtar).

Neymar opted out of the Copa America Centenario in an agreement with Barcelona that would allow his participation in Rio.

Good luck, world.
