Having (allegedly) been rebuffed in its pursuit of Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez, Juventus turned its attention to a Bundesliga star.
Mexico’s Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez is the man in question, having breathed new life into his career with a blistering season at Bayer Leverkusen.
And, like Sanchez, the answer is seemingly the same.

Hernandez, 27, scored 17 goals in 28 league matches, adding nine in Europe as the ex-Manchester United and Real Madrid found his form.
Bayer has made no indications it would sell Hernandez — quite the opposite — but Juve is anxious to return to the UEFA Champions League final while it piles up scudetto after scudetto.
In fact, Chicharito reportedly chose Bayer over offers from Italy last year that included Juventus, if you believe rumors. What would’ve changed during a wonderful year for The Old Lady to think it could move the meter?
