We don’t know a ton about Montreal’s latest Italian import.
Matteo Mancosu, 31, is coming to Quebec on loan from Bologna after a career spent mostly in Italy (and not in Serie A).

One thing we do know is that he has scored at every stop before Bologna, netting 51 times in 88 matches for Serie B side Trapani after scoring 20 in 37 for now Serie D side Vigor Lamezia between 2011-12.
“We are happy to add another experienced striker to our roster,” said Impact technical director Adam Braz. “He is someone who will complement our other attacking players and provide another attacking option for the second half of the season and beyond.”
The hope for the Montreal is that perhaps they have a sort of poor man’s/Italian/MLS Jamie Vardy on their hands, as Montreal has made a lot of quality signings and have been a keen identifier of talent.
