The game in 100 words (or less): No team in MLS has scored more goals after the 75th minute this season than Orlando City SC (10). When they entered the final 15 minutes of Friday’s clash with the Houston Dynamo at Camping World Stadium, it was practically expected that Adrian Heath’s Mark Watson’s side would break the scoreless deadlock. Alas, that 11th post-75th-minute goal will have to wait another week, as the two sides settled for a 0-0 draw. A disappointing result, on the whole, for Orlando City, but it sure beats the four easy goals they conceded to FC Dallas last week, doesn’t it? With the point in pocket, Orlando City (21 points) have leapfrogged (for the time being) Toronto FC for the sixth and final playoff place in the Eastern Confernece, while the Dynamo (18 points) have moved out of the Western Conference cellar and a point ahead of the now-last-place Seattle Sounders.

Three moments that mattered

44′ — Bruin slices through midfield, fires just wide — Will Bruin isn’t known for making 40-yard, mazy runs with the ball through midfield, but the chances weren’t exactly finding him, so Bruin went out in search of the chances.

89′ — Barnes clangs one off the post — Giles Barnes found himself making a diagonal run, cutting through the hear of the Orlando City defense. The eventual shot couldn’t have gone much closer without finding the back of the net. Agonizingly close to all three points.

90′ — Deric rushes out to deny Larin a 1-v-1 — Cyle Larin got in behind the Dynamo defense, to the point where all he had to do was control the ball and it would have been Larin versus Tyler Deric with the game on the line. Deric was extremely quick off his line, though, to deny Larin the controlling touch.
