“Big” Sam Allardyce might be taking one of the highest profile jobs in international soccer.
The Sunderland manager is set to speak with England’s Football Association about the vacant Three Lions position this week, according to the Independent. The report says Allardyce has the backing of Alex Ferguson amongst others, and is the only English candidate being considered by the FA.
The same report says that the only other serious candidate for the job is USMNT boss Jurgen Klinsmann, but our own Joe Prince-Wright says not-so-fast (at least yet).
Back to #USMNT news: a source has confirmed to me that the English FA has made no official approach to speak with manager Jurgen Klinsmann

Allardyce has neither played nor managed at the international level.
