Liverpool lost a familiar face on Thursday as veteran defender Martin Skrtel completed his move to Turkish-side Fenerbahce.
Skrtel has made 320 appearances for the Reds since joining the club in 2008, now leaving Lucas Leiva as Liverpool’s most experienced player in the current squad.

The 31-year-old defender missed a large portion of last season while battling injury, although his future at the club always seemed to be in doubt under Jurgen Klopp.
Skrtel’s move to Fenerbahce is for a reported transfer fee of about $6.5 million, where he will join former Premier Leaguers Robin Van Persie and Raul Meireles.
