Arsenal’s Gnabry, Bender twins highlight Germany Olympic roster

Germany is bringing an exceptional batch of young talent to Rio for the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Arsenal’s Serge Gnabry joins Borussia Dortmund’s Matthias Ginter on the squad, while brothers Lars and Sven Bender will also ply their trade at the Games.

The Benders join Freiburg’s Nils Petersen as Germany’s three overage players for the U-23 tournament.

Max Meyer of Schalke and Julian Brandt of Bayer Leverkusen will also be in focus during the tournament, which begins Thursday, Aug. 4 in Brazil.

Gnabry will not be available for the first two weeks of the Premier League season. Arsenal opens with Liverpool and Leicester City.
